Park Steward Program

Join a dedicated group of volunteers in improving the natural beauty of parks within Hamilton County. Park Stewards work to remove invasive species and encourage native plants through hands-on work and advocation. With the support of the Hamilton County Invasive Partnership, stewards have access to a network of volunteers, tools, and other resources to assist in their efforts.
Whether you are interested in working on your own or with a group of people, if you have a passion for the environment the Park Steward Program may be for you. See current and past park stewards below to hear their stories and understand more about what it is that they do and the parks they love.

How does it work?
Hamilton County SWCD and HIP work together with Park Stewards to build a relationship between parks management staff and stewards. Together we will find a park that works for you as well as provide necessary training, tools, and support. Stewards are able to work at their own pace and develop a schedule that works best for them, providing freedom and flexibility to manage invasive species at their leisure.

Does this opportunity sound interesting to you?
Submit your contact info below or email Jacob Luken at [email protected] or Kim Gauen [email protected] with any questions or to get involved.
